All,
I also would like to add that we are holding a session on Act 250 at this year’s
VT Development Conference. The Commissioners will be working on their recommendations around the time of our event, so this will be a mix of reporting out and gathering feedback
from the development community.
Diane Snelling and the Commissioners will share some of their reflections on this process they’ve held with workshops around
the state. And then everyone will break out at their tables to discuss one of the ten topics (with subtopics) ranging from the appeals structure to the application process to ecosystem protection and beyond. The Commissioners will be taking this feedback into
consideration as they make their recommendations and we will be capturing all of the feedback and circulating to attendees after.
This is a great opportunity and the session has limited capacity, so make sure to sign up early if you’re interested! Registration
begins September 10.
Best,
Stephanie

Subject: [VT Dev] Act 250 - the future - needs your input
As you may have heard, the legislative commission on “Act 250 at 50” is seeking public input on Vermonters’ priorities for the future of the Vermont landscape.
The commission has created a brief survey, which can be accessed here:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9CSPHY7
The Vermont Planner’s Association has also developed a survey. The VPA survey is addressed to participants with deep familiarity with Act 250. If you have experience with Act 250, the VPA survey can be accessed here:
https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4533728/VERMONT-PLANNERS-ASSOCIATION-ACT-250-SURVEY
Both surveys are open until mid-September.
Those who have particular experiences or opinions to share about Act 250 may find that the surveys don’t offer the opportunity to address their particular concerns. For those folks, we strongly encourage you to submit your comments directly
to the legislative commission using this e-mail address:
Act250Comments@leg.state.vt.us
We believe that your written comments and suggestions about process improvement are essential to this process.
Thank you for your attention to this important process.
Sincerely,
Michael Schirling
