I used to work with energy developers and one thing I would suggest to them is to avoid using the term "developer" or "development" and try to be more specific about what they are doing or contributing to the projects. Many "developers" are planners or builders and more often than not things aren't being "developed" they are a repurposing of some existing development, which sounds more friendly and positive if it is repurposed, renovated, or revitalized as opposed to saying they are "re-developed."
