January/February... Jeff Zeitlin 06 Nov 2018 02:15 UTC

With the ongoing aftermath in my life, I'm trying to squeeze in a bit of
work on the January/February issue of Freelance Traveller when and as I
can, to maximize the chances for getting it out on time, even with.

However, I've run into a big problem - I've scraped bottom in several
sections, and without new material coming in, the next issue will be more
reprint than new material, something which is NOT a good sign for the
continued publication on a regular schedule.

I'm therefore pleading, not just asking: WRITE! There isn't a single
section that I don't need and want new material for; everything is needed,
from beginning to end. Reviews, stories (both singletons and serialized),
rules and rule hacks, animals, consumer goods of all types, reffing tips,
prep tips, adventures, ... whatever, and all of it! And the sooner, the
better!

Two sections that I haven't really pushed, but which I will give special
mention to now, are the Freelance Traveller Cookbook, which is a section on
food and gaming, and Traveller By The Byte, which is a place for discussing
Traveller-related computer programs you've written, and providing the
source code, preferably in a platform-independent way.

The watchwords for this, in order of importance, are MORE and SOON. The
community has a history of generating quality content, and those of you who
haven't generated (or at least submitted) content in the past know what I
like to see, so don't be afraid to try your hand. I'll work with you to
build you up as I can. But the important thing is to WRITE! PLEASE!
