Back in the When, at the time I first posted my initial jottings about
naming, you posted a message connected with (but not necessarily threaded
to) that thread, discussing generational names among Koreans. You mentioned
that your family took them from a poem; was that strictly a "your family"
thing, or did _all_ families do it that way, and if the latter, was it the
same poem for all - and from when were generations counted?

(Reason for question: I'm working on fleshing out some of my
culture-building jottings into more-than-jottings-but-not-quite-scholarly-
articles for Freelance Traveller, and I think that that pattern is worth
mentioning.)
