How about a similar story involving going shirtless on a planet with
an F0 (or should that be F9?) star? *Lots* of UV.

Heck, even a normal G-type like Sol if the local atmosphere has a
taint that prevents an ozone layer.

Come to think of it some M class stars have *nasty* flares that'd
give a lot of UV.

I wonder if "spacer" watches have built in UV exposure sensors?

Hmmm. Given the varying oxygen levels in various places, maybe a
"clip on" earring that acts as a pulse oximeter and feeds the data to
the wrist comp or whatever.

Ah. Then build the UV sensor into the "sunglassess".
