The PCs have been hired by an inventor to haul his equipment
somewhere obscure so he can test things or explore something.

This will turn out to be a *really* bad idea, as he doesn't believe
in wasting space or time on safety gear. He also *massively*
overestimates his skills and competence.

His name is Langstrom Fischler. For those of you who have run for
cover yet, he's a recurring character on "Thunderbirds are Go!".

If you can find the episodes on the web or on your cable provider,
watch the ones with him in them. He is *so* perfect for making PCs
regret not researching things more carefully.

Another recurring character that might be useful is Francois Lemaire.
He's more the "adventurer/fame seeker" type. But he also tends to get
into trouble.
