... and grab the UWP below and write a world!
A number of years ago (back in 2008, as it turns out), I ran a contest
where I gave you a URL, and challenged you to come up with a world
writeup for that UWP. I got two winners out of that one. Now, I'm not
running a contest; just throwing out the challenge, and telling you that
I'll be saving all the responses I like for eventual publication in
Freelance Traveller.
The UWP should be assumed to be interpreted according to the Classic or
Mega-Traveller definitions; I will accept other compatible definitions,
but if you do one, note it and include a summary of the interpretation
of the UWP.
Now, sometimes a UWP just doesn't seem to work. So, I will give you the
same option that I gave back in the contest: You may change ONE of the
digits of the UWP, chosen from POP, GOV, LAW, TEC, or the POP
Multiplier, if you feel that it will give you a better world to work
with. If you do, however, you must explain that you have changed it, and
account for the Scout Service's error in a plausible manner.
When writing your description, try not to tie it to a specific setting:
"one jump away from a regional capital, on the frontier, at the end of a
trade route" is great; try to avoid "Tamsulosin Sector/Flomax Subsector
1234". Obviously, make it interesting, and try to include enough detail
to sustain its use in an adventure or ongoing campaign. Adventure seeds
are optional, but very definitely welcome.
Having said all that, here's your world:

Have at!
