 population base. Note at least one of the human client
 states in this are practiced heavy amounts of human
 engineering as a matter of state...

"Most of the rimward quarter of the Solomani Rim remained unsettled until relatively recent times. The major exception is the Near Bootes cluster; <deleted>. This unusually rich group was settled immediately upon discovery, early in the 2nd Imperium."

So, except for a relatively few colonies est by the TerranConfed & mentioned above, there wasn't much 'out there' until "relatively recent times".

But, as also mentioned above, just what does 'pureblood' mean?

After all, AFAIK, no homo sapiens extant today are *really* purebloods as we all carry some neanderthal genes, no?

I suspect that the SolomaniParty probably has an official definition based upon genetic analysis of prospective candidates for membership. Reportedly the NSDAP had something similar based upon official documents for membership in the SS, but, also reportedly, sometimes things appeared to have been 'fudged' under certain circumstances. Consider Erhard Heiden, 3rd 'Reichsfuhrer-SS (1927-29). "Joined the SS in 1925 and quickly demonstrated leadership potential. Disgraced for Jewish associations". Resigned in JAN'29 & succeeded by HeinrichHimmler. Arrested by the SD, (SicherheitsDienst), at that time the internal security org of the NSDAP, in 1933 & executed. The book doesn't even have a picture of him!
