This is what the website author had to say about the icons he created:

I have always loved Ron Cobb’s semiotic signage for Alien and have often
used it myself (see my logo for instance). This is an often referenced
source in sci-fi circles - have a look at the signage in Moon which is
pure homage to both Cobb and Space 1999, wonderful.

Instead of blatantly ripping it off in its present form I have adapted
it to the Traveller hex.
