Perhaps the words ‘sociopath’ don’t readily translate over to alien cultures?

Perhaps the Hiver manipulation of the K’Kree was, as stated in the various references to the event, a means of dissuading the K’Kree from going to war with the Hivers?

A hell of a lot more sentients would have died in that war than the K’Kree planets that, by the way, were wiped out by the K’Kree, NOT the Hivers?

Perhaps cardboard aliens described in broad strokes as ‘flavor’ in a rpg don’t hold up to detailed examination, much like, oh, I don’t know, damned near everything else in the OTU? :-)
