To be fair, in the Whovian universe, it is ENTIRELY possible, even plausible that all three versions are both real and not-real.

Time travel is tricky; remember, per official DW canon, New York between about 1930 and 1955(?) is no longer reachable by the TARDIS due to multiple time-changing events in the time stream. (Even though this was just a handwave to say goodbye to Amy and Rory)
