It depends on what your objective is: my father recounted one recon mission
that consisted of a major, a lieutenant and a sergent (my father).
The major's job was to decide where to build the bridge, the lieutenant to
draw the plan and my father to tell the others when it was safe to look -
the people on the other side of the river didn't want a bridge!
