I’ve seen highway and route markers painted onto the street before, and adhesive backed sandpaper’s been available for a while. <http://www.mscdirect.com/browse/tn/Abrasives/Coated-Non-Woven-Abrasives/Sanding-Sheets-Blocks/Adhesive-Backed-Sanding-Sheets?navid=12100111>, pretty sure I’ve seen something like the motorcycle marker thing before, too, although back-up cameras handle that today.

Browsing through these old magazines is kind of fun, this is a page from a DVD set of ‘Workbench Magazine’ I got recently <https://www.dropbox.com/s/3t3yt89kh7m4ad4/Money%20in%20Donuts.png?dl=0> The Art School ad was the first one I saw in the run (this is about 1959-ish, the magazine ran from 1952-2009) and the next ad I saw for them had the much more familiar style <https://yearbydesign.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/drawing-contest.jpg>

I also love the ‘Money in Donuts’ ad...
