Yeah, that's a major malfunction of jump *duration, with internal
ship time still beimng a week or so.

Andre Norton had a few mentions in hewr SF of "early" ships popping
out of hyper centuries after entering it. Alas for the crews,
internal and external time matched...

And one of the stories in the Zero Stone sequence had a rather
"interesting" occurence regarding someone "stranded" in space far
from any star... :-)
