To a some extent, yes. Modern warships certainly have significant facilities for self repair, at least jury-rigging until they get to port. They have machine shops and trained engineers/mechanics/machinists. So would Imperial warships, particularly capital ships like a Broadsword. This always break, and being able to repair on the run is a great advantage. Will they be able to repair major structural damage? No. Jury-rig something to limp back to port?
