Sad, but true.
Which actually reminds me of the
option in the CT rules for playing Traveller
"solo." E.g. using the game systems to create
stuff just for your own amusement, when you've got
nobody else to play with or can't manage to make
schedules mesh . . . which is the case with
me.

re: all the chargen, worldgen, etc, utilities allover the place.
Having a father & numerous other relatives who were vets from WWII onwards (remember the 'draft'? who still has one?), with quite a number of career 'regulars', I found out right away that it was a lot of fun to sit around & play at generating characters. For good measure, I was also hooked on CT HG shipbuilding for quite some time. Even wrote a BASIC prg for it that I could only use at work as I had no computer at home yet!
