I gotta look that up, do
you remember which book that was in Phil?

 I just finished reading the
GURPS source book on the K'Kree, similar
thing happened in the Hiver Wars.  Hivers got
 some K'Kree border worlds
 to go
carnivorous.  K'Kree were so horrified that they nuked
 every world
within 6 parsecs of the Hiver
border to sterilize them after the war.

I vaguely remember that it was soft-bound book that detailed the course of the 'Rebellion' up to when the major powers began to recover strength & were starting to expand their "safes" (safe zones centered on the capitals).

After it dragged on so long I lost interest in the 'Rebellion' timeline & eagerly jumped on the 'Dulinor Dies' timeline introduced by SJG.

I also remember thinking that pocket empire was very close to the Zhodani border but as it later turned out, the Zhodani were getting pounded by the primordials, encountered by the Core Expeditions, which retroactively explained the lack of Zhodani involvement in all the 'excitement'.

Some details may have also been included in various TNS (GDW's) dispatches.

Sorry I can't be more specific.

p.s. I always that the reaction of the centaurs was backwards. With the hatred they're capable of, it seems to me that would've redoubled their efforts to w/ the intent to wipe out the hivers like they did to the carnivores that used to prey on them. But, then, the hivers are master manipulators so.... Hey! Maybe they're the real reason behind the 'Rebellion'?
