 they don't, err, "displace" anyone, they often get the benefits of
 pre-existing trade routes, highports, infrastructure, and so on.  If
 they can make it more bother than is practical to get rid of them,
 that is.

 Considering how many planets there are in the Imperium with only a
 few settlements on the whole planet, it's almost surprising that there
 aren't a great many more.  Of course, it's also surprising how many
 underpopulated Aslan worlds there are, too.

I always figured that the more land that was held (acreage) then the more prestige.

So, an Aslan world w/ only a few land-holders just might not have a very dense pop.

But, then, there's also the very, very low apparent pop growth that seems to be the case thruout the TU.
