Bari Z. Stafford, alias General (Bari Z.) Turokan, one of our Absent
Friends, was involved with the Rim Route (an equally large project), rather
than the Core Route. During most of his tenure on the List, he was subject
to progressively worsening ALS ("Lou Gehrig's Disease"), and at the end, he
was literally a two-thumb typist, although his output did not noticeably
slack off in his time as a List member.
