Try turning off the setting for "Filled borders" while the map display is
set for "print friendly" - that should get rid of the pink and leave you
with a white background and colo(u)r for worlds, borders, et cetera. It
will give you a Classic style map - no 'A-C' notation to indicate Starport
and TL - but it should be non-abusive to your colo(u)r printer.

It's actually pretty easy, especially if you 'cheat' and use the API. That
can give you what you need, within very broad limits. A print-friendly
"pre-snipped" map of Chant subsector in Core sector can be had in exchange
for feeding your browser the URI
https://travellermap.com/data/core/chant/image?style=print
and then right-click/save-image-as. If you want a higher resolution
(doesn't add any info to the map, just makes it bigger), add &dpr= followed
by an integer; this will render at _dpr_ times the standard rendering
resolution - that is, the subsector map normally renders at 471x684; if you
add &dpr=2 it will render at 942x1368, if &dpr=3 at 1413x2052, and so on.
The API is documented at https://travellermap.com/doc/API and includes
quite a lot of Stuff.

Use the API as above.
