I only have my memory of the comment that someone else posted on UseNet many years ago.
However, I have heard from numerous sources that he did pen a series of "fascist"<their word> articles in the Dragon, way back when. I'm sure that that can be checked.
I was pretty much a bystander on the thread until it came around to the subject of the way TSR cut the legs out from under SPI.

Do
you have (or is there) some citation for Gygax saying this?
I find it
a bit difficult to believe given
that in the DMG (and, IIRC, the PH) for
ADD1, he specifically states that the rules are
guidelines and if you
don't like how
something works that it's perfectly fine to change
it.
