(Left and Right politics are all fringe politics now. As neither side has a opinion that they can back up with reason) Though if you want to get a Anti-Nuke green going asked them about the waste by product of universal solar cells on buildings. (Hint the toxics pass the current American static radioactive waste stockpiles numbers fairly quickly). This was a common topic of discussion with one of my professors while we were working on a Urban Transit planning study. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well let's see if I can tie it into the 3I & let's use your example above. (Doesn't it seem like it damn near *impossible* to produce *anything* hi-tech w/o toxic waste?) I can see advocates for both sides producing 'studies' etc. that, of course will support their positions. Neither side really trusts the other so what's needed is a truly impartial 3rd-party. One that both sides trust. That's something that seems to be in really short supply these days & it could be one of the most important functions of the 3I & other culturally heterogenous polities. (Naturally this wouldn't apply to folks like the Hivers & Centaurs. They would have their owns ways of dealing w/ such controversies) ====================================================================
