Eh, not necessarily. They may well think they've solved something. It's even possible that they're right. It's also possible that they're about to burn a significant amount of money on a wild goose chase, or that they've been taken in by some crackpot. As long as they aren't specifically asking for investors, it's at least not a clear and direct scam, except possibly against LM.

That said, Lockheed Martin being involved just changes my estimates of their odds from "astronomically low" to "very low".
