How Vilani of him. I don't know what type of aircraft you were in, but I can see this happening if the entire aircraft overhead lights are on a single circuit, cockpit and cabin both, and the pilot wanted to cut glare from the overheads onto the instruments. Time-of-day is possibly also a factor; I'd consider it more likely for twilight or night flights than day flights. One thing I'm sure _isn't_ the reason is because the power plant can't generate enough power to handle both the engines and the lights... :) -- Jeff Zeitlin, Editor Freelance Traveller The Electronic Fan-Supported Traveller® Fanzine and Resource editor@freelancetraveller.com http://www.freelancetraveller.com http://freelancetraveller.downport.com/ ®Traveller is a registered trademark of Far Future Enterprises, 1977-2014.
