Would the coding be color coded or pattern coded given that not all
sophonts see colors the same? I could see a repeating pattern, perhaps
in a coded color, but the requirement would be the pattern.
Engineer 1 to Tech: "Just cut the red cable, it's nothing more than an
old fiber optic data line that's no longer used."
Engineer 2 to Engineer 1 after the lights go out and a charred odor
permeates the ship: "What the hell happened?"
Engineer 1: "I told the FNG to cut the red cable and the noob cut the
yellow cable...the main power feed for the deck and caused the reactor
to scram when it fried him."
Engineer 2: "You realize he was an Eliyo and can't discern colors..."
Engineer 1: "Shit."
