One thing to consider:  When writing, don't come off as a nutter or
someone with a cause to push unless that's your goal.  Keep things
simple, concise, and straightforward.  If I have to look up a term or I
think you're trying to do things different just to be different, then
I'll view everything your try to tell me with skepticism.

You're not writing to make a point or take a stand (unless it's an
opinion piece), you're writing what's essentially a technical manual, so
again, keep it simple and direct because the audience may not share (or
want to share, or even be interesting in seeing) your avante garde
tricks and color.
