The funniest single line in the paper:

" This suggests that their pigmentation changes may be an effective means of communication, analogous to humans using turn signals in traffic.”

HAHAHAHA! none of the authors have ever driven around here, where apparently the car dealers charge vast sums for the addition of working turn signals…

Also, are there squids who will swim for miles with the squidly equivalent of their left turn blinker going?

But all in all it’s a neat article; they identified 24 distinct repeated patterns.
