Given Type S scouts are supposed to be soloable, this must be an
accepted practice.

No, I've got one player who'd do that too, if it wasn't for the facts
that 1) all their loans have been government 'subsidised' loans where
you don't have to make the payments on time (but of course the fewer you
make, the longer the government gets to mess with your affairs), and 2)
a quick study suggested that the in-book rates reflected a really low
interest rate, and he decided he'd rather not nag me to the point where
I did the research and came up with some 'realistic' rates and payment
schedules (I wasn't going to - he talked himself into that one).
