A few thing: The 250 MW per energy point comes from Striker, specifically Book 2, p. 41 where the conversion of energy weapons to Striker ratings. Also MegaTraveller Referee's Manual p. 57. I believe this is the last time any of the build system mentions the term "Energy Point" as an abstraction for energy use. Everything else either uses Megawatts or ignores the amount of power altogether. I've added the page references for this fact. The discussion about the difference between the CT size of the DTon (13.5 cubic meters) and the actual volume of a ton of liquid hydrogen (14.11 cubic meters) is on the talk page (see Discussion). Give the difference is 4.41% and many of the rules state that if you get the size of the deck plan within 20$ of the size of the ship is good enough, I'm not sure obsessing about the difference. I also found an interesting paper published by NASA about finding ways to make LHyd smaller by compressing it then releasing the pressure. This would cause crystals to form. If I read the paper optimistically you could get a ton of LHyd into 11-12 cubic meters. NASA was interested in the technology because that much saving in the volume would mean a huge saving in the size of rockets. Lastly, a point of design for the wiki. The goal of the articles, at least for the main pages and dictionary, is supposed to be an in-game reference for the characters. We're not always successful, but try very hard. As a consequence, I'll probably end up moving your well researched contributions to the talk pages. Both so they are not lost and are readily available for the next researcher. -- Thomas Jones-Low Work: xxxxxx@softstart.com Home: xxxxxx@gmail.com
