	For the sake of offering up an alternative rather than a flamewar, I would
argue the version of sensor from GURPS, specifically GURPS Vehicles, will offer
a better and more consistent set of rules for generating answers to your questions.

	GURPS Vehicles p. 168-174 has the detailed rules with many modifiers for a
bunch of different sensors and p.49-60 has the rules for the sensors themselves.

	The basic rules are pretty simple. Sensors (including the Mk I eyeball) are
give a scan rating, subtract a range modifier, add a size modifier. Plus other
modifiers. Add the sensor skill, which usually includes Int stat, Roll this or
less on 3D.
