Rarity is one thing, we still have exceptionally rare firearms made more
than a century ago being regularly used.  The issue is ammunition; the
ammo for the Gyrojet being more than 50 years old. Couple age with
questionable QC, the fact that it's a solid rocket (which has aging
issues) and while ammo may be in someone's collection, whether it will
work or not is the real question.
