I have those saved for future use, too!

I'm not sure how an FDM printer handles supports, but I know with Lychee
Slicer, I can change the thickness/size of the supports as well as how
it connects to the object.  Maybe a different FDM slicer would give you
more control?

I really like the idea that I can rescale a model to fit existing
miniatures (I have a spreadsheet that's a big help!) and find all sorts
of things to re-purpose.  Someone did a grav version of a Merkava I or
II and it really looked Travelleresque.
