	This problem is not restricted to the Firefly novels. I stopped reading most of
the Star Trek and Star Wars novels for exactly the same reason. The first
several chapters would always be re-introducing the main characters, sometimes
with odd off-kilter changes. The good novels minimized the effect of this, but
it was always there.
