To answer your questions

Species Spectra is derived from the Primary Star of the home world (e.g. G2 V).
The Vision senses table (Book 1, p191) gives the range bands for this.

The Voice is the type of vocalizations the Sophont makes. As you note table D on
page 234 has the results you need to enter.

Poice is on the same table.

Table D on page 232, the difference between these terms is defined on p 214
(Wiseman guide to sophonts).

For the senses in general I recommend reading through the senses chapter in book
1 (p188-199), which described in better detail what each of the senses is and
what they can do.

I have sat down and re-organized the entire beast/sophont creation rules from T5
to make them flow better and be more readable. I'm hoping to publish it.
