At least one of his Known Space stories ("The Soft Weapon") was adapted to the animated Star Trek as "Slaver Weapon" (and re-novelized under the same title as the story in _Star Trek Log Ten_). The "slavers" were the Thrintun (adjectival same, singular "Thrint"), and the story about the still-living Thrint was _World of Ptavvs_ (where "ptavv" is the Thrintun word for "non-telepath").
