I suspect a good part of the relative lack of ramps in published
deckplans is a combination of

(1) (most of) the people drawing them not having a really good grasp of
practical, established and ergonomic industrial design; and

(2) the difficulty in clearly indicating the direction, slope/grade etc
of ramps on a map, at deckplan scale, particularly without resorting to
full-on professional architectural notation (which most creators and
readers may not understand).
