Now, having said all of that, it occurs to me that there /are/ situations, even today, where international and/or intercontinental travel under dangerous and unhealthy conditions, including a certain expected degree of "breakage", does occur ... but we classify that sort of thing as human trafficking, a criminal activity, not a legal and commercial one. And yes, many people who "travel" in this manner must pay some or all of their meager savings to obtain passage, and/or submit to what is essentially slavery at their destination. But again, these people are generally /coming from/ and trying to escape such conditions, and contracting with criminals to do so, not walking up to a terminal and buying a ticket. -- --------------- Kelly St. Clair xxxxxx@efn.org
