If they don't have the highest per-capita consumption thereof in the world, they certainly do in the US. A few years back, when I was working 'the field' in Manhattan (I do remote support, now, instead of on-site), there was a Hawai'ian BBQ place around the corner from my 'base'. One of the items on their menu was SPAM(r) musubi. Think nigiri sushi (the piece of fish on top of the little ball of rice), only grilled SPAM instead of raw fish, and the rice ball is big enough to support an entire slice of SPAM. Serve with Hawai'ian potato salad, which _looks_ like the familiar stuff, but has a wasabi-strong horseradish mixed in. I was very sorry when the place closed up after less than a year at the location... ®Traveller is a registered trademark of Far Future Enterprises, 1977-2020.
