Are you suggesting an IMTU Retcon on cutter module shape? If so, yeah, makes perfect sense, I endorse it. Makes a lot of the published ship designs not work, though, since the space allocated for spare cutter modules needs to expand. The square makes a lot of sense, and someone else said "LASH" and it also makes sense for container stacking shore-side. I have a suggestion: In looking at the definition of "cutter", it looks like "Sloop" is the next step up. I'd propose the design of a new small craft class : 80 ton Sloop. It uses a 6x6x15m module, has a 6x6m cross section on the nose (8m long streamlined that has the same volume as 6x6x7) and tail (6x6x8 box) portions. One feature of the Sloop class is the fold-down anchor arms on the inside of the pod-bay that allow it to latch a 30 ton cylinder module in place for reverse compatibility.
