The impression I got from the '77 edition was that you needed to run
Generate right before the jump, so you travel out to 100 diameters,
using what set on normal space programs you normally use. Having got
there you load up Generate and run it to make a flight plan. Now you
dump Generate and load in Navigation and the correct Jump program if
they wouldn't fit and jump.
