You are correct that most of the CT LBB 2 1977 programs took up less space than their counterpart in CT LBB 2 1977/1981 allowing Model/1bis and later computers to run both the jump and navigation programs at the same time. I agree that CT LBB 2 1977 did not have much of a limit placed on eight out of the nine available computers, however the Model/1 is limited to operating a J1 drive.
The CT LBB 2 1977/1981 edition changed the computer program size requirements which exceeded the CPU size capacity to fit with the CT LBB 5 HG 2e requirements which has resulted in the Computer Model number limiting the jump drive rating.
