Article Solicitation: Handle With Care
Jeff Zeitlin 10 May 2019 00:26 UTC
Consumer goods are not always innocuous. Sometimes, a commonly-available
product needs to carry all sorts of warnings, and not just because a
litigious society is inducing the manufacturer to "cover their /tuchus/" in
every possible way against any possible stupid misuse of the product.
It's not always just _use_, either - perhaps the product needs to be
_transported_ under special conditions to prevent degradation, or something
worse.
And sometimes, Stuff Happens, without any apparent reason. Maybe it was
because of a flaw in manufacturing of that specific lot. Maybe it was some
subtle - possibly transient, and not easily reproducible, or even
detectable - difference in the transport or use environment. Or something.
So, what are the products in your Traveller universe(s) that are hazards?
Write them up, for the "Handle with Care" section
