I'm still not seeing TML posts (and at least one other mailing list) and am in (ongoing) discussions with my IT department as to why, so my apologies I can't reply in threads.  (I'm trying to keep up via the archives, but it's a bit hit and miss.

1 - have seen Jeff's plea to WRITE and have been doing so.  Better yet, I've been rootling through my 'in progress' folder and actually trying to finish things that varied between 98% done, 50% done and half baked ideas.  Expect incoming.  (I've been holding off for a few days not knowing what a suitable mourning period might be.)

2. Thanks to Greg for the note on 'horse holder' as another term for 'equerry'.  I'd not heard that.

3. So long...

Farewell to Douglas - all the best for the future, even if it's not the Far Future at present!  I'm sure you'll always have a welcome here.
