You send someone, a troubleshooter if you like, with a letter of
introduction and papers showing their authority to act in your name to
find out what's wrong and sort it out. Oddly enough there's a vast
amount of canon supporting this, seeing as it's one of the standard jobs
for patrons.

Heck, even with supposedly instant world-wide comms we still send people
overseas to check out things in person and solve problems on the spot.

Sure! You send someone & *eventually* the problem gets solved, eventually, someday/year.

Whereas w/ 'insta-commo' you at least have a chance of an 'insta-solution'.
