Al this talk about Sabmyqs (sp?) got me thinking about meson guns & I finally went back to look at my old CT LBB's.

I had remembered that, at least in CT HG, meson screens weren't really that reliable against hi-rating m-guns.

The 'to-hit' chance was altered but a single hit was still frequently devastating & eventually there *would* be a hit. Eventually.

The text about how the 3I ships were effectively immune from meson fire when landing on the AI planet made me wonder if there were changes made to the effectiveness of meson guns &/or screens w/i the combat routines, post-CT HG.
