The thread is closed, so I'll just remind you that death is only warranted for the opportunity to see Rome. Having seen Rome, and survived two train bombings, a demonstration by the Communists, and the Great Garbage Strike, I see no reason to think that my intended seeks a martyr. ;-)

Perhaps its just me, but if someone proposed to me to go sailing as an adventure, and ''oh, by the way'' telling me the vessel may experience spontaneous combustion somewhere between Sydney and Seattle, I would skip risk assessment and just go to the next adventure proposal.
