No...it isn't.  If anything, the bores on Galactica's main turrets are larger than a man is tall.

The big battlestar at the top, Hecate, the gold colored yacht, and the battlestar between Galactica and the Cylon baseship, Indefatigable, are non-canon, but everything else is canon with respect to their respective sources.  The USS Nimitz is there for scale.
