Last time I looked at the practicalities of a sensor warning system was about 17 years ago when someone excited about MegaTrav wanted to GM a campaign.
My knowledge of CT in this respect was never 100%.
What I remember us agreeing is that a system- wide system was too expensive. A planetary sensor system was going to cost so much that defended were going to be rudementary. All this may have changed in T4 & 5.
