Exactly.  On both counts (no pun intended).  The Count did both of these - which is why on the backend there's a great domed garden - imagine a smaller Silent Running dome - with a hydroponics deck beneath it.  Part of the adventure concerns dilettante son bringing back a rare plant gift for parents.  Not to mention the collection of arms for use on either the fencing piste or the shooting range.  (I did mention it was big, didn't I?)  And the Countess loves her midnight swim in the pool.
