Right as in correct - if you were hunting whales this was the right one to go for, since they didn't sink once killed, IIRC. Other species were apparently prone to sinking.

Would that be "right" as in "left", or "right" as in "wrong"? From the
spelling, it's not "rite" as in "ceremony" or "write" as in "speak"...
